Job summary

St Elizabeth Hospice is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Zest Young Adult service. The role leads weekend short breaks for up to three young adults with complex health needs, overseeing care and supervising care assistants.

The post is 15 hours per week, mainly weekends, covering hospice stays and community outings. You will work within the One Team nursing model, ensure person-centred plans, and respond to changes in health needs while maintaining safeguarding standards and high-quality

Qualifications

Registered nurse with current NMC registration.
Minimum of one year's post-qualification experience.
Ability to assess complex patient needs and plan, deliver and evaluate care.
Safeguarding knowledge and applied practice.

Responsibilities

Lead weekend short break care for up to three young adults.
Supervise care assistants and delegate tasks.
Plan, deliver and evaluate person-centred care plans with patients and families.
Administer drugs and treatments within guidelines.
Coordinate cover for shifts when staff are absent.
Work within the One Team nursing model and support other areas as needed.
