Job summary

MTrec Technical in the United Kingdom is seeking a permanent Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced, dynamic company with a strong team culture and clear opportunities to progress. You will attend and resolve equipment breakdowns, maintain preventative plans and support continuous improvement across production lines.

The role requires fault-finding on electrical and automated systems, adherence to PPM schedules and involvement in root-cause investigations to deliver permanent

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering qualification and a four-year electrical apprenticeship with City & Guilds Part 2/NVQ Level 3.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition compliance is required.
• Experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Ability to fault-find on electrical and automated systems.
• Strong methodical problem-solving approach.
• Experience with PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Attend and resolve equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Follow and improve preventative maintenance plans to reduce downtime.
• Ensure the annual PPM schedule is adhered to and completed.
• Record follow-up maintenance in a timely manner.
• Support root-cause investigations for repetitive breakdowns and implement permanent solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with project work requiring engineering involvement.
• Improve line efficiency through timely repair and maintenance.
• Improve quality and reduce spoilage through maintenance improvements.
