A care service provider is seeking a Laundry Assistant to manage laundry tasks in a respectful, caring environment. The ideal candidate will have fantastic people skills and a caring nature. Responsibilities include sorting and washing laundry, ensuring cleanliness in the laundry area, and adhering to health and safety standards. Experience is not required as full training will be provided. This role offers competitive pay and a supportive team atmosphere.

Sort washing into relevant groups, where applicable, and process it through the washer, drier and iron. Keep clean and dirty linen separate within the laundry area.
The following priorities apply:
Any clothes that are not marked should be named and placed in the appropriate boxes after they have been laundered.
Ensure the laundry room is clean and tidy. On a daily basis: wash down washers, dryers and laundry bags; clean lint trays/vents; mop floors.
Use appropriate protective clothing when dealing with soiled/infected linen.
Ensure statutory Health & Safety standards in the laundry area.
Report immediately to the Home Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Client, colleague, self or another.
