St George’s Lodge in Worthing is seeking a reliable Kitchen Assistant to support the smooth running of the kitchen, helping to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety while contributing to a positive dining experience.

The role is part of a small kitchen team with full training provided; previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential. Weekend shifts are included in the pattern, with no late-night work.

Salary: £13.45 per hour + weekend enhancements
Hours: 11 hours per week

Shift pattern: Saturday, Sunday 8:30-14:00
No late-night shifts

St George’s Lodge is a welcoming 26-bed residential care home in Worthing, part of SDR Group, a family-owned care provider, where mealtimes play an important role in bringing comfort, enjoyment, and a true sense of home to our residents.

We are looking for a reliable, caring and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our small and friendly kitchen team.

As a 26-bed residential care home, we pride ourselves on creating a warm, family-style environment where residents are known as individuals and staff are genuinely valued.

Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential – full training will be provided.

About the Role

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the smooth running of the kitchen, helping to prepare and serve meals that are nutritious, well-presented, and enjoyable for residents.

You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety while contributing to a positive dining experience.
