Red Bull Company Limited is seeking a Junior Model Maker to assist in preparing 3D-printed parts and helping organise wind tunnel tests. You will work closely with Model Makers, Model Design and Aerodynamics to deliver high-quality components for testing.

The role requires evening and weekend rota coverage, strong craft skills, and the ability to communicate effectively within the Aero department. A UK manual driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing wind tunnel models and testing programs with Team Leaders and Modelmakers.
• Provide flexible attendance, including evening and weekend rota coverage as required by aero testing.
• Co-ordinate with Model Design, Mechanical Design, Aerodynamics and Additive Manufacturing teams.
• Support day-to-day model shop activities and wind tunnel operations.
• Manage time effectively to align with department needs and schedules.
• Travel up to 0–10% as required.

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Model Maker to be able to assist in the preparation of 3D-printed parts and with test organisation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with Model Makers, Model Design, Mechanical Design, Aerodynamics, and the Additive Manufacturing team, contributing to the preparation and delivery of high-quality components for wind tunnel testing.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Team Leaders & Modelmakers in conjunction with design and Aerodynamicist to develop our wind tunnel models and testing program.
• Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the Aero department. This role specifically requires evening & weekend cover on a rota and on a flexible basis to meet the needs of the aero testing programme. Communicate effectively with all groups within the Aero department. Execute the day-to-day tasks, providing support to model shop activities and wind tunnel working. Manage time effectively in conjunction with the needs of the department.
• Maintain and develop good relationships with all existing staff and support colleagues.
• Work in a professional manner at all times regardless of the task set and be pro-active in promoting a positive image for the department / team/ sponsors. Provide coverage for logistics / driving duties where these cannot be supported by the Production & Logistics team.
