Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a part-time Domestic Assistant/Housekeeper to work at Herts & Essex General Hospital, covering Saturday and Sunday shifts. The role includes cleaning ward areas and delivering patient food services, with weekend pay rates of £16.35 on Saturdays and £19.62 on Sundays.

You will maintain cleanliness to required standards, assist the catering team during busy periods, and participate in necessary training including BiCs Licence.

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate.
• Desirable to have cleaning experience or be willing to learn.
• Customer-driven with the ability to work well in a team.
• Communication skills are key to ensure successful service delivery.
• Technology skills are beneficial for using mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the building including offices, communal spaces, stairwells, kitchens and washrooms to required standards.
• Provide support to Catering teams during busy periods, including serving food/drinks and handling payments using a till.
• Perform equipment checks, stock requests and other processes to support role delivery.
• Complete all required training, including BiCs License to Practise training.
• Maintain cleaning standards and support smooth ward operations.
