Job summary

United Pet Foods in Wales is looking for a forklift operator to safely move raw materials, work in progress and finished goods across the dry petfood site.

The role is 24 hours per week, structured as two 12‑hour weekend shifts, rotating between weekend nights and weekend days.

You will follow health, safety and GMP procedures, wear PPE, support extrusion and packing lines, and collaborate with production, warehouse and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklift trucks.
• Ability to follow site safety, quality and GMP procedures.
• Willingness to work weekend shifts and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently to move materials around the site.
• Load and unload vehicles and transfer materials to production areas.
• Support raw material intake, tipping operations and extrusion processing.
• Assist with packing line activities and maintaining tidy, efficient packing areas.
• Follow health, safety and quality procedures and wear required PPE.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse, quality and engineering teams and adapt to changing duties.
