Job summary

RunThrough in Hersham, Surrey is seeking an Event Manager to take ownership of delivering high-quality event day experiences across our running events. This hands-on role focuses on setting up, managing, and overseeing the event village to ensure a welcoming experience for participants, with on-site delivery during weekend events.

You will work with the wider team, attend weekly planning meetings, and spend most time on-site, coordinating with suppliers, staff, and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering events or operations, preferably mass participation or running events.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidently lead teams including staff and volunteers.
• Ability to problem-solve and make quick decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup, delivery, and breakdown of the event village at weekend running events.
• Oversee on-the-day operations to ensure events run smoothly, safely, and on schedule.
• Manage and brief event staff and volunteers.
• Coordinate with suppliers on-site to deliver seamless events (timing, medical, etc.).
• Act as the main point of contact within the event village and resolve issues as they arise.
• Provide a welcoming and well-organised experience for all participants.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, safety, and efficiency.
• Support event logistics including equipment loading, transport, and pack down.
• Attend weekly planning meetings to align on upcoming events.
• Van drop-off and collection as required.
