Job summary

SRUC's Scottish National Equestrian Centre seeks a Yard Supervisor to manage a stable of up to 30 horses and supervise students, ensuring welfare and standards are maintained.

The role is permanent, weekend part-time, up to 22 hours per week, on-site at EH52 6NH. The ideal candidate will hold a British Horse Society qualification or equivalent training and will work under the Stable Manager, following SRUC regulations and procedures, with opportunities for additional shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• British Horse Society qualification or equivalent training is required.
• Experience with horse welfare standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with looking after a stable of up to 30 horses and supervising students.
• Maintain the standards expected by the Stable Manager and welfare obligations.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Stable Manager.
• Mainly weekend work with potential extra shifts on short notice.
