Job summary

UCS College Group is seeking a weekend Equine Yard Assistant to work alongside the Equine Yard Manager in caring for the College's horses. You will be responsible for feeding, turnout, grooming, and daily welfare checks, ensuring high standards are maintained.

The role requires practical experience with different horses, sound stable management knowledge, and a pro-active attitude to weekend duties across the yard.

Qualifications

• Experience with a range of horses in varied situations; demonstrate stable management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist Equine Yard Manager to care for College horses during weekends.
• Maintain feeding, turnout, grooming and welfare checks to uphold high welfare standards.

This role will work closely with the Equine Yard Manager to ensure the continued care of the College horses over the weekend.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated to maintain the College's high standards of welfare. You will have experience of working with a range of horses in a variety of situations and be able to demonstrate your stable management knowledge.
