Job summary

Vets Now in Barnet is seeking a Sunday Veterinary Nurse to join our weekend emergency team. This role covers triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care, with shifts every other Sunday from 10:00 to 22:00 and a fair share of bank holidays.

You must be RCVS registered for at least six months and passionate about high clinic standards. We offer access to ECC qualification, CPD, private medical insurance, generous leave and pension, staff discounts and more.

Qualifications

• RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
• Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
• Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
• Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
• Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
• Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.
