Job summary

Vets Now in Macclesfield is seeking a Weekend Veterinary Nurse to join our emergency nursing team. This role focuses on triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care during weekend shifts, with 1:4 weekends Sat 12:00-19:00 and Sun 08:00-19:00, plus bank holidays.

You must be RCVS registered for at least six months and bring a passion for caring for pets. We offer support for qualifications such as ECC certificate, CPD package, private medical insurance, enhanced sick and maternity pay, 7

Qualifications

• RCVS registration for a minimum of six months.
• Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
• Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
• Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
• Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
• Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.
