Job summary

South Hampstead High School, part of the GDST, is seeking a Weekend Duty Manager to ensure safe, secure and efficient operation of the Senior School site at weekends. You will manage lettings, coordinate reception and premises staff, and act as the on-site operational lead with a focus on customer service and safety.

The role requires experience in facilities or venue management, the ability to work independently, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management, premises management, site operations or a similar operational role.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and contractors.
• First Aid at Work qualification desirable, or willingness to obtain one.
• NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications and Fire Warden experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weekend lettings and events to ensure smooth running.

You will be the main point of contact for external hirers, coordinate reception, premises and other staff, and ensure the school provides a safe, secure and welcoming environment.From preparing facilities for use and overseeing site security to coordinating maintenance, monitoring health and safety and responding to unexpected situations, you will play a key role in ensuring the site operates efficiently and professionally.The role requires someone who can work confidently with limited supervision, exercise sound judgement and take the initiative to resolve operational issues as they arise.**About you**You will have experience in facilities management, premises management, site operations, venue management or a similar operational role, with the confidence to take responsibility for a site independently.You will be practical, organised and solutions-focused, with strong communication and customer service skills. You will be comfortable coordinating colleagues and contractors, managing competing priorities and building positive relationships with external hirers.Experience of maintenance coordination, health and safety procedures, fire safety and responding to operational issues is essential to success in this role. A First Aid at Work qualification is desirable, or you should be willing to obtain one. NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualifications, Fire Warden certification and experience in an educational or campus environment would also be advantageous.**Working hours**The role will primarily be based across Saturdays and Sundays, with an anticipated average of approximately 12 hours per week initially. Hours will vary according to the school's lettings, events and operational requirements, so flexibility is essential.
