Job summary

NHS Dumfries and Galloway is seeking an enthusiastic Dental Nurse to join the Public Dental Service (PDS) and provide patient-centred support to the clinical team and patients in a clinical setting at Galloway Community Hospital.

The role requires NEBDN qualification or SVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing and GDC registration, a sound knowledge of health and safety, and the ability to handle a busy clinic while maintaining excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Clinical dental nursing skills as part of a busy NHS clinic.
• Good knowledge of health & safety in a clinical environment.
• Registration with GDC is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect dental chair side support to patients and the clinical team.
• Cover weekend rotation (7 hours per weekend, 1 weekend in 3) and additional hours for holidays or sickness.
• Assist with reception duties and basic administrative tasks in the clinic.
