Job summary

Corin Group in Cirencester is hiring for a Quality Inspector on a weekend-only shift pattern. After training, the role runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with a base salary of £25,300 plus 25% shift allowance (£31,625 total) and a bonus.

The company designs and manufactures hip and knee implants and offers a structured development pathway with a quarterly bonus and comprehensive benefits. Training is provided to all new joiners.

Qualifications

  • GCSE-level maths and English or equivalent.
  • Experience in manufacturing or regulated environments desirable but not required.
  • Willingness to learn inspection, measurement and related tasks such as reading drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Check materials and products meet quality standards.
  • Carry out inspections at different stages of the manufacturing process.
  • Identify and report quality issues.
  • Keep accurate quality records and update systems.
  • Use inspection tools safely and correctly.
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated as required.
  • Review production docs and support product release.
  • Collaborate with teams to resolve issues.
  • Follow quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.

Friday, Saturday & Sunday
5:30am – 6:30pm
Salary £25,300.00 + 25% shift allowance (totalling £31,625.00) + bonus!

This is a weekend-only role, giving you Monday to Thursday completely free every week.

As a Quality Inspector, you will:

  • Check materials and products meet quality standards.
  • Carry out inspections at different stages of the manufacturing process.
  • Identify and report any quality issues.
  • Keep accurate quality records and update company systems
  • Use inspection tools and equipment safely and correctly.
  • Ensure equipment is checked and available for calibration when required.
  • Review production documentation and support product release.
  • Work with colleagues across different teams to resolve issues.
  • Follow company quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives

No matter your experience level, we'll provide full training to help you succeed.

  • Training takes place Monday to Friday
  • Training typically lasts 2–12 weeks, depending on your role and experience
  • Choose the training shift pattern that works best for you:

Days

  • Monday–Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm

Earlies

  • Monday–Thursday: 5:30am – 2:00pm
  • Friday: 5:30am – 11:00am

Lates

  • Monday–Thursday: 1:45pm – 10:15pm
  • Friday: 10:45am – 4:15pm

Or rotating earlies and lates (Double Days)

The ideal Quality Inspector will have/be:

  • An excellent level of attention to detail.
  • A minimal education background of GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Previous work experience in either a manufacturing, automotive, aerospace or highly regulated environment would be desirable, but not essential.
  • An eagerness and willingness to learn new tasks that involve general inspection, measurement, and associated activities (eg - reading engineering drawings).
  • A detail-orientated approach and the ability to make informed decisions based on the quality of the product.
  • To be reliable and committed to developing a career at Corin.
