Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland in Oxford is hiring a Cook to support individuals as they transition back into the community, preparing nutritious meals in a supported residential setting for a government client. The role requires weekend hours (Saturday & Sunday, 12pm-6pm) at Maudsley House, Oxford, with a small, supportive team delivering reliable catering within a structured environment.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1/2 or NVQ Level 2 in catering.
• Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Right to Work in the UK and willingness to undergo a DBS check.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Reliable and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus and portion guidelines.
• Present food to a high standard with quality and consistency.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Manage stock levels, basic ordering and minimise waste.
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of kitchen operations.
• Follow all food safety, Health & Safety and site procedures.
