Job summary

Anchor Hanover Group's Leofric Lodge is seeking a Catering Assistant for weekends, delivering nutritious, well-presented meals to residents while upholding high hygiene standards.

You'll join a friendly kitchen team, focusing on safe food handling and waste minimisation, and you'll make a positive difference in residents' day-to-day lives.

Hours are weekends only, 12 hours per week, with an opportunity to grow and develop in a supportive environment designed to value your care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment.
• Experience working with older people (ideal, but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and service of nutritious, well-presented meals.
• Ensuring all health, safety, and hygiene standards are followed to the highest level.
• Helping minimise waste and using kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Supporting the catering team and communicating any issues promptly.
