Job summary

Anchor Hanover is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant at Wharfeside Otley to join a supportive team delivering nutritious meals with excellent care for residents. You will assist with meal prep and service, ensure top health and hygiene standards, and help minimise waste while using equipment safely.

Ideal candidates hold Level 2 Food Hygiene, understand COSHH, and have kitchen experience. A true team player who can work independently will thrive in this role at this not-for-profit provider.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment.
• Experience working with older people (ideal, but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and service of nutritious, well-presented meals.
• Ensuring all health, safety, and hygiene standards are followed to the highest level.
• Helping minimise waste and using kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Supporting the catering team and communicating any issues promptly.
