Job summary

Brainkind is seeking a weekend housekeeper to join Redford Court in Liverpool, performing cleaning duties across a residential care home. The role requires weekend availability, with shifts between 7 and 10 hours per day, totalling 14–20 hours weekly, at a rate up to £13.91 per hour.

Experience in care/residential cleaning is desirable; COSHH knowledge is valued. DBS/PVG checks are part of the compliance process, and a supportive team environment is offered with benefits and training.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning within a commercial/working environment, preferably care/residential.
• Willingness to undergo DBS/PVG checks.

Responsibilities

• Clean all designated areas in the unit to a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Maintain professional relationships with service users to create a homely living environment.
• Perform general cleaning duties: hoovering, mopping, dusting, waste handling, carpet cleaning.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals following COSHH guidelines.
• Handle waste disposal per health and safety guidelines.
• Sanitize and disinfect resident rooms, communal areas and corridors.
• Complete relevant training and ensure documentation is accurate and timely.
