Job summary

Burscough Manor Care Home, part of Sandstone Care Group, is seeking a reliable Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents. This role covers 22.5 hours per week across 3 shifts, with some weekend work and 9:15am–5:15pm shifts.

You will clean bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas, follow cleaning schedules, assist with laundry and report maintenance issues. Experience is desirable but not essential; we value pride in high standards, independence, teamwork, and

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning or domestic experience is desirable but not essential.
• Takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
• Friendly, caring and respectful in your approach.
• Flexible to work shifts, including some weekends.
• A positive team player with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Keep residents' bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas clean and well-presented.
• Follow cleaning schedules and infection control procedures.
• Support laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing and distributing clothing and linen.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Help create a comfortable and homely environment for residents.
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards throughout the home.
