Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited is seeking a caring and dependable Care Assistant to join a 28-bed residential home in Ripley for weekend shifts. You will provide personal care, support planning, and promote residents' wellbeing in a warm, dignified setting.

The role requires empathy, excellent communication, reliability, and weekend availability. A referenceable work history and up-to-date training certificates (including moving and handling, safeguarding, infection control) or DBS update

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Care Assistant or Support Worker (essential).
Genuinely compassionate, empathetic, and patient nature.
Excellent communication skills and a team-player mindset.
Reliability and a commitment to working weekend hours.
Referenceable work history.
In-date mandatory training certificates (moving and handling, safeguarding vulnerable adults and infection control).
Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 12 months or registered on the update service.
Minimum of 3 months paid UK work experience working within a care setting.

Responsibilities

Personalized Care: Deliver high-quality personal care, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support, tailored to each resident's unique needs.
Care Planning: Follow, maintain, and update individualized care plans to ensure seamless, high-standard support.
Holistic Wellbeing: Promote residents’ emotional, social, and psychological wellbeing, fostering a warm and positive living environment.
Independence and Engagement: Encourage daily independence and support residents in participating in meaningful activities and engagement.
