Job summary

QS Care is seeking weekend Care Assistants to cover afternoon hours at our Heanor care home in Derbyshire. You will work 14:15–22:15 on Saturdays and/or Sundays, delivering personal care, supporting mobility, and engaging residents in daily activities.

We welcome reliable, dedicated, and caring individuals with care experience. DBS check within 12 months preferred; safeguarding, infection control, moving and handling training within 1 year; DBS update service if possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months experience in Health and Social Care environment
• DBS check for adults services dated within the last 12 months, preferably on the update service
• Safeguarding training within 1 year
• Infection Control within 1 year
• Moving and Handling training within 1 year

Responsibilities

• Attend to personal care needs and support mobility as required

Enjoy a lie in at the Weekend?? We are looking for reliable, dedicated, and caring people with care experience to cover afternoon hours at the weekend!

You will be working within one of our care homes in Heanor, Derbyshire!

The home accommodates for care of the elderly, residents suffering with Dementia, Mental health and physical disabilities.

Your role will be to attend to any personal care needs, support mobility where required, completing daily activities with the residences to enhance their everyday lives.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about care in all areas and willing to take on a challenge. Not every day in care is the same so you must be able to adapt to new situations.

Minimum requirements for Care Assistants are:

• • Safeguarding training within 1 year
• • Infection Control within 1 year
• • Moving and Handling training within 1 year
• • A DBS check for adults services dated within the last 12 months preferably on the update service
• • A minimum of 3 months experience in a Health and Social Care environment

QS Care can provide training opportunities for candidates with training that has expired. Additionally, we can arrange a DBS application on behalf of the candidate where the last check was done over 1 year ago and is not on the update service.

You will be working from 14:15 to 22:15 on Saturdays and/or Sundays

You will be paid £12.71 per hour, with hours worked between 7pm-10pm paid at an enhanced rate of £16.90 per hour
