Job summary

Cadillac Formula 1 Team in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled CAM Programmer for a weekend shift, Fri-Sun, 7am–7:30pm, to support 5-axis milling production. You will create, modify, and validate CNC programs, working closely with machinists and engineers to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

You will interpret engineering drawings and CAD data, perform toolpath verification, and uphold programming standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CAM Programmer in motorsport or high-performance engineering.
• Strong knowledge of CAM software, especially HyperMill.
• Experience programming 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and CAD data.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and optimise CNC programs for complex components, primarily for 5-axis milling machines.
• Support weekend machining operations by troubleshooting and resolving programming or process issues.
• Perform toolpath verification and simulation to ensure safe, efficient machining.
• Collaborate with machinists to refine programs and improve cycle times and surface finishes.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications accurately.
• Ensure all programs and setup documentation are correctly recorded and maintained.
• Adhere to established programming standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide feedback to weekday programming and engineering teams to improve manufacturability and process efficiency.
