Job summary

Hr-Cl Limited is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join a busy kitchen team in Stoke-on-Trent. The role offers Monday to Friday daytime hours, allowing evenings and weekends off. Full training is provided and you’ll be joining a friendly, supportive team in a role with steady weekday work.

Responsibilities include washing dishes, keeping the kitchen clean, handling deliveries, waste management, and assisting chefs with basic prep as needed. A drive and own transport are a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen porter or cleaning experience is helpful but not essential, as full training is given.
• A good work ethic and the ability to work at a quick pace.
• Reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude.
• A team player who can follow instructions.
• Basic food hygiene knowledge is a bonus.
• Ideally you'll have a full driving licence and your own transport to get to the site.

Responsibilities

• Washing pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment, by hand and by dishwasher.
• Keeping the kitchen, floors and work surfaces clean and tidy throughout the shift.
• Following cleaning schedules and food hygiene standards.
• Taking in deliveries and putting stock away correctly.
• Emptying bins and managing waste and recycling.
• Helping the chefs with basic food prep when needed.
