Job summary

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy local authority waste collection team in Worksop. You will drive a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle and assist with loading duties on a Monday–Friday day shift.

This ongoing role offers £14.67 per hour, 6:00am–2:30pm, with overtime opportunities and immediate starts supported by full induction and training.

Qualifications

• Full HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 2 years' Class 2 driving experience.
• Comfortable with physical work and loading duties.
• Reliable, punctual and a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Drive an HGV Class 2 refuse collection vehicle on local routes.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Assist with collecting and loading domestic and commercial waste.
• Work alongside loaders and the wider collection team.
• Follow road safety and Health & Safety procedures.
• Provide a professional, courteous service to the public.
• Carry out manual handling and outdoor duties in all weather conditions.
