Job summary

Compass Group UK is seeking a Chef Manager for a Weekdays-only site in Solihull. You will oversee the catering operation, lead a kitchen team, manage budgets and drive high standards of food quality and service.

The role requires hands-on culinary leadership, strong P&L understanding, and the ability to build client relationships while delivering consistency across the operation. Monday to Friday, 7am–3pm, 40 hours per week, up to £32,000 annual salary.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef Manager or Head Chef with strong operational experience.
• A passion for fresh food, seasonal ingredients, and high-quality service delivery.
• Great communication and leadership skills; you inspire others with your energy.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to manage client relationships and operations.
• Strong financial acumen including cost control and KPIs in a catering environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full catering operation from menu planning to service delivery.
