Job summary

Holmewood Hall in Peterborough is seeking a Deputy Venue Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support the Venue Manager in delivering exceptional wedding experiences. You will lead an enthusiastic team, engage with couples, and help maximise wedding bookings while maintaining outstanding service standards.

The role requires 3+ years in customer service within hospitality or events, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' customer service experience.
• Hospitality, events, hotel, wedding or venue management experience desirable.
• Flexibility to meet the demands of a busy wedding and events operation, including weekends and bank holidays.
• You are passionate about delivering outstanding service and creating memorable experiences.
• Strong administrative skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Venue Manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards of customer service and venue presentation.
• Lead by example, support training and development of venue staff and maintain a positive team culture.
• Engage with couples, attend planning meetings, show rounds and client communications to ensure a seamless journey from booking to wedding day.
• Work with Sales Manager to maximise wedding bookings and contribute to venue sales targets.
• Generate and amend invoices, produce running orders and manage event documentation.
• Act as ambassador for Holmewood Hall, ensure professional communication and assist with social media and marketing initiatives.
• Maintain a safe environment and complete accident and fire reports in a timely manner.
