Job Summary
Responsible for generating revenue through the sale and coordination of weddings and related events at Rudding Park. This role requires a strong focus on guest service, relationship building, and exceeding sales targets. The ideal candidate will be proactive, resilient, detail-oriented, and experienced in wedding planning or event sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Reactively sell and promote Rudding Park as a wedding venue, including ceremonies, blessings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, and related events.
- Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Respond to wedding enquiries, conduct resort showrounds, and build bespoke proposals for prospective wedding couples.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse clients.
- Negotiate upsell, and close sales to meet or exceed revenue goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships before, during, and after the event.
- Manage wedding sales pipeline and regularly update PMS systems with communications and sales activities.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor offerings, and bridal industry developments.
- Participate in wedding shows, bridal fairs, and other promotional events to increase brand visibility.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of weddings, from planning to delivery.
- Organised and detail-oriented, with the capacity to manage multiple weddings simultaneously
- A team player who can thrive in a collaborative environment while also being self-motivated and tenacious.
- Passionate about creating memorable experiences for guests, with a genuine interest in the wedding industry and people.
- Handling with new enquiries by phone and email with conversion at the fore front
- Post wedding follow-up calls
- Issuing contracts to couples and collect in stage payments from our guests
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in wedding/event sales or planning, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting revenue targets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and guest service skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
