Job Description: Web3 Fundraising Broker at Obinex

Obinex is a leading player in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry, dedicated to transforming the financial landscape through innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology. Our mission is to empower individuals and businesses to harness the power of digital assets for a more inclusive and decentralized future. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Web3 Fundraising Broker to drive our fundraising efforts and develop strategic investor relationships.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and target potential investors such as VCs, angels, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals, with initial guidance from our CEO.
  2. Ensure investors align with Obinex’s investment profile and are active with liquidity within 3-6 months.
  3. Make warm or direct introductions to investors, presenting our CEO as the lead.
  4. Send relevant materials like the Investor Deck or One Pager prior to meetings.
  5. Set clear expectations regarding the opportunity, terms, and vision.
  6. Assist in preparing for investor calls, including practicing responses to objections.
  7. Participate as a moderator if required and track post-call actions and feedback.
  8. Support negotiations and follow-up processes to secure investments.
  9. Develop strategies to accelerate decision-making, such as creating urgency or comparisons.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years in fundraising, investor relations, or capital introduction, preferably within startups or venture funds.
  • At least 3 years of successful deal closures with VCs, family offices, or crypto investors.
  • Strong network of investors in LATAM, Africa, UAE with quick decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience with SAFE agreements, convertible notes, or token offerings.
  • Deep understanding of the Web3 space, including exchanges and NFTs.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with tools like Notion, Pitch, Airtable, CRM, Confluence, or DocSend.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, international startup environments.
  • Motivated to see deals through from start to finish with strong follow-up discipline.
