Job summary

Oscar Technology is seeking a Software Engineer to join its web platform team in Manchester City Centre. The role focuses on modern cloud-hosted web applications, spanning backend services, APIs and some frontend work, within a collaborative product team.

You will work across C#/.NET and TypeScript, contributing to REST APIs, cloud infrastructure on Azure and scalable architectures. A strong emphasis on clean code and continuous learning is key.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience building modern web applications across backend services and cloud technologies.
• Experience with C#/.NET and TypeScript; strong expertise in one with exposure to the other is acceptable.
• Enjoys collaborative environments and writing clean, maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern web applications using C#/.NET and TypeScript.
• Build and enhance REST APIs, backend services and third-party integrations.
• Contribute to cloud-based applications hosted within Microsoft Azure.
• Work alongside engineers, designers and product teams to deliver new features.
• Help improve software quality through automated testing, CI/CD and code reviews.
• Support scalable, secure and performant application architecture.
• Contribute to technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
