The Online Sales team is responsible for growing and optimizing our digital presence across all regions. We focus on delivering a seamless, impactful customer experience through innovative marketing strategies, unlocking growth potential and shaping the future of O’Donnell’s online business.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Web Developer with strong Shopify experience to join our team. Your role will involve developing, customizing, and maintaining Shopify-based e-commerce websites, ensuring exceptional user experiences and seamless functionality.

This position allows remote work from Germany or the UK.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about scalable e-commerce solutions, with a deep understanding of Shopify, and who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain Shopify themes and custom features
2. Build custom Shopify apps or modify existing ones
3. Collaborate with designers and e-commerce managers on website functionality and design
4. Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
5. Optimize website performance, speed, and SEO
6. Integrate third-party tools and APIs (payment gateways, CRM, inventory systems)
7. Troubleshoot and debug site issues
8. Stay updated on Shopify features, trends, and best practices

Candidate Profile

• 2+ years of web development experience
• Proven experience with Shopify and Shopify Plus
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Strong knowledge of Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Experience with Shopify APIs and third-party integrations
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles
• Basic SEO knowledge
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Experience with headless commerce or JAMstack using Shopify
• Knowledge of other e-commerce tools (Klaviyo, Yotpo, Google Suite)
• UI/UX design skills or experience with Figma/Adobe XD
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
