Job summary

Brave is seeking a mid-level front-end developer to own the user-facing side of our web applications. You will build polished, responsive interfaces in Vue.js and TypeScript, turning designs into fast, intuitive experiences users enjoy.

Though primarily front-end, the role involves Laravel-based back-end work to consume and tweak APIs, understand data, and make small back-end changes when needed. You’ll join a hands-on, detail-driven team.

Qualifications

• Relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL) experience.
• Strong HTML and CSS, responsive layouts and cross-browser compatibility.
• Working knowledge of PHP and Laravel; read codebase, consume and tweak APIs, small back-end changes.
• Confident with Git and collaborative workflows (branching, PRs, code review).
• Eye for detail and care about user experience; able to explain technical decisions.
• Desirable: Python for API building; Geospatial experience; Front-end testing experience; Build tools (Vite/Webpack); Tailwind UI familiarity; Vue ecosystem tools.

Job description

The role: We're looking for a mid-level front-end developer to join our team and take ownership of the user-facing side of our web applications. Your day-to-day will centre on building polished, responsive, accessible interfaces in Vue.js and TypeScript - turning designs into fast, intuitive experiences that users enjoy. While the role skews front-end, our applications are built on a Laravel back end, so you'll need enough PHP ability to work across the boundary: consuming and occasionally extending APIs, understanding the data behind the interface, and making small back-end changes when a feature calls for it. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a few years of commercial experience who is confident working independently, cares about the details of a good user interface, and writes clean, well-tested code

Benefits & conditions
