The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining CDN-based security solutions to safeguard systems and sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Analyze web app and API security requirements, onboard new services to CDN platforms, and manage configuration, policy changes, troubleshooting, tuning, and audits.
• Collaborate on large projects, providing technical leadership to ensure successful completion.
• Analyze traffic, tune rules, and detection features to prevent false positives and protect against DDoS and web application attacks.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with design, onboarding, and implementation of network and security configurations on Web Application Firewalls and CDNs, focusing on Bot detection and response.
• Deep knowledge of layer 3 and 7 DDoS protection technologies.
• Understanding of web application fundamentals like JavaScript, CSS, JSON, and XML.

Additional Skills

• Strong knowledge of security network architecture, including firewalls, load balancers (e.g., F5), DMZ, proxies, DNS, web and mail servers.
• Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and SaaS security solutions.
• Experience with integrating Akamai APIs for information gathering and automation.

This role can be based in Glasgow, Northampton, Knutsford, or Fleet. The seniority level is entry-level, and it is a full-time position within the Information Technology and Software Development industries.
