We are partnered with a leading financial services organisation who are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer on a permanent basis. Whilst the prime option would be for someone who already has this experience already to hand, the company are happy to consider someone coming from a strong networking/systems background who is looking to take that step up in their career.At present we are unable to offer sponsorship.

The role will give you the chance to be involved in some interesting areas of Cyber Security with the work being important to the business. You will be involved in the following areas as a minimum:

• Cyber Security Technology Implementation

• Infrastructure Hardening

• Secure Remote Access

• Cloud Security Engineering

• Internal IT & R&D

• Client Onboarding & Handover

Key Responsibilities for the role includes (but not limited to)

• Implement on-premise and cloud-based security technologies

• Produce designs and configuration documentation

• Harden Windows and Linux systems

• Assist with internal IT projects

• Attend client and internal meetings as needed

Essential Experience

• Hands-on experience with Cisco Firewalls

• Administering Windows Server, Linux and VMware

• Knowledge of VPNs

• Cisco certifications (CCNA/CCNP)

The ideal candidate for this role would be based in the North East of England however the client are open to remote candidates as they are keen to offer the chance for growth in cyber security engineering.
