Our platform is powered by WordPress and various e-commerce plugins, ensuring a seamless user experience. We are looking for a Web Administrator to manage website maintenance, resolve technical issues, and optimize platform performance.
Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Web Administrator, you will be responsible for the technical management, troubleshooting, and optimization of our WordPress-based platform. You will work on site security, plugin integrations, performance improvements, and bug fixes to ensure a smooth experience for suppliers and buyers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage & Maintain the Website – Oversee the day-to-day operation of our WordPress-powered marketplace
- Handle Technical Issues – Troubleshoot website errors, plugin conflicts, and e-commerce functionalities
- Optimize Performance – Improve website speed, SEO structure, and database efficiency
- Manage Plugins & Updates – Regularly update and configure WordPress themes, plugins, and security patches
- Ensure Website Security – Implement security best practices to protect against hacks, malware, and vulnerabilities
- Support E-Commerce Operations – Manage and troubleshoot payment gateways, WooCommerce settings, and order processing
- Customization & Development – Make minor PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript modifications to enhance functionality
- Backup & Recovery – Ensure regular backups and contingency plans for website data
- Technical Support for Team – Assist the marketing, customer support, and sales teams with website-related issues
- Collaborate with Developers – Work with external developers or agencies when advanced customizations are needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in WordPress administration, website management, or web development
- Strong knowledge of WordPress & WooCommerce – Experience managing e-commerce stores
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript – Ability to make minor customizations
- Experience with WordPress Plugins – Especially WooCommerce, Elementor, BetterDocs, WP Rocket, RankMath SEO
- Website Performance Optimization – Knowledge of caching, CDN, and database optimization
- Security Management – Familiarity with SSL, firewalls, malware scanning, and backups
- Troubleshooting & Debugging – Ability to identify and fix website errors, conflicts, and bugs
- Knowledge of MySQL Databases – Ability to manage and optimize database performance
- Experience with Hosting & Server Management – Working with cPanel, Cloudflare, or VPS hosting is a plus
- E-Commerce Experience – Understanding of payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal), checkout flows, and user experience
- Good Communication Skills – Ability to document processes and support non-technical teams
