Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Wealth Manager to join the financial planning team in Hymans Robertson Personal Wealth. This role is available in any of our office locations, and we are open to considering candidates on a part-time or full-time basis (minimum 4 days per week).

What will your role look like?

You will join a fast-growing team dedicated to improving financial wellbeing for people across the workforce through guidance, financial planning, and wealth management services.

Your primary responsibility will be to onboard and serve high net worth clients, supporting their wealth management needs and helping them achieve their lifetime financial goals.

There is significant scope for personal growth and development within this collaborative and supportive team.

Key tasks include:

Business Development

  • Building relationships with professional introducers and clients, developing your own network of prospects and clients, and contributing to team efforts in network building.

Serving Clients

  • Onboarding and retaining clients through meetings (online or in person) and high-quality communication.
  • Conducting detailed assessments of clients’ financial situations, provisions, and future goals.
  • Completing investment risk analyses and preparing tailored financial plans using cashflow tools.
  • Researching market products and informing clients about new and existing offerings.

Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including disclosure and advice responsibilities.
  • Maintaining a valid Statement of Professional Standing and staying updated on legislation and products through ongoing training.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven success in converting opportunities and generating client referrals.
  • Level 4 RQF or CISI qualification, with progression towards level 6 preferred, and experience as a regulated financial planner or wealth manager.
  • Excellent client management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Experience in relationship cultivation and network building.
  • Teamwork experience and a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong technical knowledge, numeracy, and IT skills; familiarity with Intelligent Office / Intelliflo is advantageous.
