Job summary

JewelCast is seeking a practical, reliable Wax Assembly Operative to join our moulding team in Birmingham. Full training will be provided, and jewellery experience is not essential. The role focuses on precise, careful handling of small wax components with steady hands and a can-do attitude.

You will build wax trees, check workmanship, and collaborate with the casting team to meet production targets. A positive approach and reliability are valued in a busy production environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Patience and concentration for delicate or repetitive work.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn new skills quickly.

Responsibilities

• Attach small wax components and patterns to runners and sprues.
• Position and space components accurately on a wax tree.
• Create clean, secure wax joints.
• Build complete wax trees ready for the next stage of casting.
• Handle delicate components carefully to prevent damage or distortion.
• Check finished work for quality and consistency.
• Work efficiently with the casting team to meet production requirements.
