Job summary

University of Southampton Watersports Centre is seeking a Watersports Advisor to ensure the safe and efficient daily operation of facilities and on-water activities. You will teach a range of activities and contribute to a high-quality service for students, staff and the public.

You will be involved in overseeing on-water activities, managing safety, and supporting senior staff with building operations. A DBS check is required, and the role offers 35 hours per week with set patterns.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in handling a diverse range of customer-focused situations.
• Ability to maintain health and safety of all facility users.
• Experience in teaching or instructing water-based activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of the Watersports site.
• Oversee on-water activities including RYA instruction.
• Assist senior staff with running the building, changing rooms and on-water activities.
