Job summary

Browne Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Process Design Engineer to join our Design Team and help shape treatment solutions for vital water and wastewater infrastructure.

You’ll contribute to planning, development and delivery of process designs across diverse projects, create key documents (flow diagrams, mass balances, P&IDs, control philosophies), and participate in HAZOP studies and project reviews. The role requires being in the office or on site at least three days a week.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in process engineering, ideally within the water or wastewater sector.
• Experience working on treatment plants or similar process-driven infrastructure.
• Understanding of water quality standards and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the planning, development and delivery of process designs across diverse technical projects.
• Create key process documents such as flow diagrams, mass balances, P&IDs, and process control philosophies.
• Participate in HAZOP studies and project reviews; support design optimisation and implementation.
