Job summary

Browne Group in the UK is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead complex mechanical design packages across water and wastewater projects, from concept through to handover. You will own technical delivery, ensure compliance with HSE, environmental regulations, and client requirements, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role includes mentoring junior engineers, guiding design reviews, and supporting commissioning and optimisation of mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or pursuing it.
• Proficient in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex mechanical design packages across water and wastewater projects.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to junior engineers.
• Represent the discipline to clients and stakeholders and lead design reviews.
• Support commissioning and optimisation of mechanical systems.
