Job summary

ACCIONA Energy in London seeks an O&M / Process Engineer for the Coppermills Water Treatment Plant to support live plant operations, design reviews and interface with designers, contractors and client stakeholders.

You will review P&IDs, GA drawings and 3D models, assess operability and safety, and contribute to outage planning and risk assessments. The role requires autonomy in a complex project environment and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in water or wastewater treatment (design, construction or operations support).
• Experience reviewing technical drawings and documentation.
• Preferred 5+ years’ experience in water treatment.
• Experience in a live operational treatment plant environment.
• Familiarity with UK water industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop a solid understanding of the treatment process and plant layout.
• Review contractor and designer documentation (drawings, TQs, RFIs, method statements).
• Identify gaps between design intent and operational requirements.
• Propose practical improvements aligned with operability, maintainability and safety.
• Attend coordination meetings with designers, contractors and client stakeholders.
• Represent operational considerations during design development and early works planning.
• Support constructability reviews, outage planning and operational risk assessments.
• Provide technical input to project leadership on operational impacts.
• Support contractor inductions and accompany technical site visits within the live plant environment.
• Review early works activities and survey outputs for operational implications.
