Job summary

Marlowe Environmental Services (part of Mitie) is hiring a Water Engineer to support water treatment and hygiene services across client sites in the UK. You will ensure systems are safe, compliant and efficient while delivering high-quality service and documentation in real time.

Applicants should have water treatment or hygiene experience, knowledge of BG29/BG50 or similar standards, and be IT confident with mobile apps and digital reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in water treatment, water hygiene, or related engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of industry standards (e.g. BG29/BG50) or specialist water systems.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational, and client-facing skills.
• IT confident - able to use mobile apps and digital reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out water treatment and hygiene tasks in line with company procedures and current legislation.
• Complete allocated work within agreed timescales, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Accurately record and submit job documentation in real time via electronic systems.
• Act as lead engineer or responsible person on-site where required.
• Maintain strong Health & Safety standards for yourself, colleagues, and clients.
