Job summary

The City of Attleboro Water Treatment Plant is seeking two Water Maintenance Craftsman/Hoisting Operator/Laborers to operate heavy equipment and maintain the water distribution system.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, two years of manual labor/hoisting experience, and hold a 2B Hoisting License. A Class B CDL and Massachusetts Grade 2 Distribution License are required and may be obtained after employment. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years of manual labor and hoisting equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate hoisting and heavy construction equipment (backhoes, cranes, loaders, trench diggers).
• Supervise small crews and operate vehicles over 9 tons.
• Install and repair water mains, service lines, hydrants, and meters; locate leaks and repair water distribution system.
