Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking an experienced Water Services Supervisor to join a busy engineering team at Charing Cross Hospital, London. The role is a 3 to 6 month contract with potential to become permanent, offering a competitive day rate.

You will oversee a team of engineers delivering planned and reactive maintenance, manage high task volumes, and ensure compliance documentation are completed accurately in a critical healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor or similar.
• Experience directing engineers in a busy maintenance environment.
• Strong knowledge of PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Excellent organisation, planning and resource management.
• Experience delivering work in regulated environments (healthcare, NHS).

Responsibilities

Water Services Supervisor

Location: Charing Cross Hospital, London
Contract: 3 to 6 months, with potential to become permanent
Rate: Competitive day rate £275-£300 a day (umbrella)
Start: ASAP

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Water Services Supervisor to join a busy engineering team based at a critical healthcare site in Charing Cross.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of engineers delivering planned and reactive maintenance
• Manage and prioritise a high volume of maintenance tasks
• Allocate engineers and resources effectively to ensure deadlines and KPIs are achieved
• Monitor outstanding works and drive jobs through to completion
• Ensure maintenance records, paperwork and compliance documentation are completed accurately and on time
• Maintain strong organisation and control across engineering workloads
• Work closely with site and facilities management teams
• Support the delivery of water services and compliance activities
• Maintain high standards within a critical healthcare environment

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have:

• Proven experience as an Engineering Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, Technical Supervisor, Mechanical Supervisor, Water Services Supervisor or similar
• Experience managing and directing engineers within a busy maintenance environment
• Strong experience of PPM and reactive maintenance
• Excellent organisation, planning and resource management skills
• Experience managing high volumes of maintenance jobs and ensuring works are closed out correctly
• Strong attention to detail, particularly around paperwork, records and compliance
• Experience working in a critical or regulated environment, such as healthcare, NHS estates, pharmaceutical, life sciences, laboratories or data centres
• Strong communication and leadership skills
