Job summary

Fyba Talent is seeking a Contract Environmental Advisor to support water sector projects across the Thames Valley. This hands-on role collaborates with site teams, clients and stakeholders to ensure environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

You will provide on-site environmental advice, assist with pre-construction planning and manage risks such as water contamination, waste management and SSSI considerations, requiring strong communication with clients and teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Environmental Advisor or similar role within construction, infrastructure or utilities.
• Experience in the water sector, particularly environmental risks relating to water contamination.
• Knowledge of pre-construction environmental works.
• Site-based construction and waste management experience.
• Understanding of SSSI requirements.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental advice and support to site and project teams.
• Support environmental planning and pre-construction activities.
• Identify and manage environmental risks, particularly around water contamination.
• Monitor compliance with environmental legislation and project requirements.
• Support waste management and environmental protection measures.
• Ensure appropriate consideration of Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs).
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other stakeholders to support effective project delivery.
