Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting a Water Sampling Technician in Caister for a 14-week fixed-term contract. The role is 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 07:00-11:00, outdoors with travel across Suffolk. The salary is £15.04 per hour.

As part of Essex and Suffolk Water, you will collect samples from treatment works and reservoirs, ensuring timely submission to the lab and maintaining equipment. DBS check applies.

Qualifications

• Experience in water sampling or field-based work desirable but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong record-keeping skills.
• Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points) is essential.

• Perform daily maintenance and calibration of sampling and testing equipment.
• Communicate professionally with customers and site contacts.

About the Role

As a Water Sampling Technician, you will be responsible for collecting water samples from a range of locations including treatment works and reservoirs. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring that water quality standards are met and maintained.

• Perform daily maintenance and calibration of sampling and testing equipment
• Communicate professionally with customers and site contacts

About You

• Previous water sampling or field-based experience is desirable but not essential
• Excellent attention to detail with strong record-keeping skills
• Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points) is essential
• Enjoy working outdoors, travelling independently, and interacting with a variety of people
• Reliable, organised, and motivated to deliver high-quality work
