Job summary

Portsmouth Water seeks a proactive Health & Safety Coordinator to support day-to-day safety activities across the business, working closely with the Health & Safety Advisor to maintain safety records, support compliance, and coordinate training.

Responsibilities

• Log workplace accidents, near misses and incidents in safety software and generate trending reports.
• Track compliance metrics like fire warden certifications and risk assessment renewal dates.
• Maintain filing systems for audits, safety policies and equipment logs.
• Serve as first point of contact for safety inquiries.
• Update document registers and prepare draft policy updates for review.
• Attend site visits to record observations and support actions.
• Maintain the risk assessment tracker and escalate for review and action planning.
• Prepare routine safety data and dashboards using approved templates.
