Job summary

Environment Agency is seeking a Water Resources Planning officer to join the Water Resources Planning team. You will lead on statutory water company plans, assess Water Resources Management Plans and Drought Plans, and provide regulatory advice to Defra to ensure compliance.

You will work with water companies, national stakeholders and EA departments to target action, and you may take on an incident role with optional extra payments and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead on statutory water company plans and assess Water Resources Management Plans and Drought Plans.
• Provide timely regulatory advice to Defra to ensure plans meet compliance and statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with water companies, national stakeholders and EA departments to target action and ensure robust water resources direction.
• Respond to incidents in an incident role, with potential additional payment and training.
