Job summary

Arup is seeking a Water Resources Planning Specialist to join the Water Resources team in the United Kingdom. You will support water companies to develop resilient, evidence‑based plans, focusing on water resources planning, drought resilience and climate scenario testing.

You will lead technical work packages, analyse data, and contribute to regulatory submissions, with colleagues across hydrology, economics, engineering and digital delivery. A degree in a related field is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in water resources planning and related disciplines.
  • Ability to prepare clear technical reports and communicate complex information.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with data interpretation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead defined technical work packages in water resources planning.
  • Support water companies with WRMPs, Drought Plans and resilience studies.
  • Develop robust planning evidence and present clear recommendations.
  • Prepare reports, run client workshops and assist regulatory submissions.
