Job summary

Stantec invites you to join its 2027 Graduate Programme in Brighton as a Graduate Water Resources Consultant. You will work within the Water Environment discipline, collaborating with your Early Careers cohort to develop professional skills through mentoring and structured training opportunities.

You will gain exposure to UK and international water resource projects, learning to prepare data, reports and deliverables while pursuing professional accreditation with CIWEM and other bodies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geography, environmental science, environmental management, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with environmental data, GIS, modelling software or water projects is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual understanding and modelling of water resource availability in hydrological systems.
• Support water abstraction sustainability assessments and environmental impact investigations.
• Assist with Water Resource Management Plans, drought planning and option development studies.
• Prepare technical reports, datasets and other project deliverables for client decisions.
• Collaborate with water companies, regulators, engineers, planners and environmental specialists to deliver projects.
